About my work;
Hello!
My name is Sarah Umphlett and I'm a multi-media artist who specializes in visual/fiber art. I graduated from Connecticut College with a BFA in '24. As an artist I create visceral experiences through sound, performance and installation. I touch on topics of labour, freedom and spotlight the contemporary horrors of surveillance and incessant distractions.

about me;
As a multimedia artist I enjoy extending from the everyday systems we interact with by making bizarre connections. Such as sound and textiles. One of my works "Hear the Fabric" generates new understandings to listen to textiles. In all renditions "Material Feedback" you listen to movement as the clothes are considered skin on the body.
